4 Signs You've Found The Right Local Roofing Company
When you need roofing repair or even total replacement, having a roofing company you can trust makes all the difference. As you may have noticed, you have dozens (if not hundreds) of options to choose from when it comes to local roofing companies. How can you know which is right for your needs? As you begin shopping around for a local roofer, there are a few specific things worth looking for that could indicate you've found a company or contractor you can trust.
They're Licensed and Insured
This is non-negotiable. Any roofing company that you're trusting to come work on your roof needs to be licensed/certified and properly insured. Even if a roofing company's website claims that they only hire "certified roofers," it's important to ask for the company's license number. Likewise, you'll want to ask for proof of the roofer's current liability insurance and workers' compensation. If they can't provide this to you, then it's probably time to move on and find a different roofer.
They Offer Guarantees and Warranties
Any reputable roofing company that is confident in their work should also offer some kind of guarantee with your service, whether it be a simple repair or a total roof replacement. Understand, however, that guarantees and warranties are not the same. Warranties are typically offered by roofing manufacturers and cover any defects to their roofing materials. A guarantee, on the other hand, is offered by your roofing company and guarantees the quality of their work. Before you choose a roofer, make sure they'll stand behind not just the materials they provide, but their labor as well.
They're Competitively Priced
Look for a roofing company that offers pricing that's competitive and in-line with other quotes you've gotten. When it comes to roofing work, you tend to get what you pay for. There's nothing wrong with wanting to get the best value for your money, but you'll want to make sure you're still getting quality work and materials.
They Communicate With You
Communication is important when hiring somebody to work on your home's roof. Make sure that the company you choose is easy to get ahold of when you need them, whether it be via e-mail, text message, or phone call. The last thing you need is to run into issues with your roofing work and have trouble getting in touch with anybody to rectify the problem.
If your roofer can check off these boxes, then you've probably found the right contractor for your roof repair or replacement job!
